ABOUT
Telugu Association of Malaysia, Women Wing (Mahila) in collaboration with Integrated Rural Development Association (India) proudly presents "CELEBRATION OF WOMEN AS CATALYSTS FOR GENERATIONS" in conjunction with International Women's Day on 2 to 3 March 2019 at the Holiday Villa, Subang Jaya.
Telugu Association of Malaysia (Women’s Wing) is part of Telugu Association of Malaysia (TAM), which is a non-profit and a non-governmental organization for the people of Telugu origin residing in Malaysia. TAM was initiated in the year 1955 and to date has 30 branches nationwide representing about 500,000 Telugus in Malaysia. The objectives are to promote, preserve and safeguard the Telugu language, economic, social, cultural, spiritual, religious and educational interest of the Telugu community in Malaysia.
TAM Women’s Wing is responsible for developing and supporting the objectives of TAM. In realizing the objectives, TAM Women’s Wing have organized many events in collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development during the last 10 years.
Now, collaborating with Integrated Rural Development Association (IRDA) is a socio cultural organization with a motto to promote various cultures and art forms. IRDA has been working since 2001 and focus on Rural Development, women empowerment and culture protection and rejuvenation.
Mr. Vinay Kumar is the founding president of IRDA who is the convener of the First World Telugu Mahotsvam at Ongole and general secretary of Second World Telugu Mahotsavam at Sydney. The two world festivals strengthened the platform for future ventures. He organized Viswa Kala Mahotsavam at Pamarru in Andhra Pradesh, India with 16 countries participation in the year 2014.
